Unloc cannot create keys on behalf of lock owners. In general, it is the board in your building who is responsible for distributing keys to the residents living there.

If you live in a building that already uses Unloc but you have not received your keys in the Unloc app yet, you need to contact your board directly and ask them to give you access to the relevant doors.

If you have recently moved into a building which uses Unloc, you as a new owner will usually receive your digital keys after the official change of ownership. This can take up to two weeks.

How do I factory reset Danalock V3?

It might be necessary to reset the Danalock to factory settings if the lock is sold, you are to move or someone else is to manage the lock. You can easily do this through the Danalock- and Unloc app.

Step 1: Log in with your user profile in the Danalock app. Select the lock you want to reset, then click "Device".

Step 2: Select "Delete device" at the bottom of the list - confirm by pressing "Ok".

Step 3: The lock must now be removed from the Unloc app. In the Unloc app, select "Settings". Then click on "Danalock" under your locks.

How to share a key?

A permanent key can be shared with family-members or others who needs continuous access to the lock. You can choose to receive notification in the app when the key is used, giving you full control over your lock. Click here if you want to see how you can share a temporary key.

Step 1: Click on "Keychain and then "Share key" at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2: Select which lock you want to share access to, then click "Next".

Step 3: Select the recipient (s) of the digital key from your contact list or by phone number.

Step 4: Choose how long the person will have access to the digital key. If you want to give continuous access, tick "Permanent".

If you want to give temporary access you can press temporary access.

Click "Next" to get a summary of the newly created key. Select notification for when the key is used if you wish.

My Danalock V3 does not rotate

Follow these instructions if your Danalock V3 does not turn around when you open it. These steps can be performed outside the door if you are locked out.

Step 1: Open the Danalock app and log in with your user profile.

Step 2: Turn on End-to-End operations under “Device” in “Settings”. This is to ensure that the lock is completely rotated.

Step 3: Click on “Device” again and then “Calibration” in the settings. Perform an “Manual Calibration”. If you are locked out, use "Automatic Calibration" instead - perform a "Manual Calibration" as soon as you are inside.

How do I replace batteries on Danalock V3?

You can see the battery level for the Danalock in the Danalock-app. The battery life varies depending on use, but will usually last for about 1 year.

It is important that all 4 batteries are replaced at the same time. Use only standard CR123 lithium batteries. Failure to replace all batteries at the same time or an incorrect standard may result in overheating and explosion. Read more about this topic at Danalock here.

Step 1: Remove the Danalock V3 from the door.´

Step 2: Open the battery compartment and pull on the two black straps to release the batteries from the module.

Step 3: Replace all four batteries with new ones, and then close the cover.

Step 4: Recalibrate the lock;

Click on “Device” and then “Calibration” in the settings. Perform a “Manual Calibration”:
