How to get keys

Unloc cannot create keys on behalf of lock owners. In general, it is the board in your building who is responsible for distributing keys to the residents living there.

If you live in a building that already uses Unloc but you have not received your keys in the Unloc app yet, you need to contact your board directly and ask them to give you access to the relevant doors.

If you have recently moved into a building which uses Unloc, you as a new owner will usually receive your digital keys after the official change of ownership. This can take up to two weeks.

How do I change my phone-number?

Your profile is identified with your phone number and can therefore not be changed. You have to make a new account in the Unloc-app.

If you have a new phone number:

Sign out of the app and sign in again with your new phone number. You will now have a new user connected to your new phone number.
Inform those who have shared keys with you (the board in your apartment building, friends, work, etc) that they have to send keys to your new phone number and delete the keys connected to your old phone number.
Connect any locks you own (eg. the lock on your apartment door) by going to settings, press "add private locks", choose your lock type and sign in with your details.

My Danalock V3 does not rotate

Follow these instructions if your Danalock V3 does not rotate when unlocking. These steps can be performed outside the door if you are locked out.

Open the Danalock app and log in with your user profile.
Enable End-to-end operation under "Settings" in the Danalock app. This ensures that the lock fully rotates.

Tap "Calibration" and follow the steps in the Danalock app:

Set the unlocking position.
Set the locking position.
Test the calibration.

How do I factory reset Danalock V3?

It may be necessary to reset the Danalock to factory settings if the lock is being sold, you are moving, or someone else needs to manage the lock. You can easily do this through the Danalock and Unloc apps.

Step 1: Log in with your user profile in the Danalock app. Select the lock you want to reset and then click on "Menu."

Step 2: Select "Delete device" at the bottom of the list – confirm by pressing "Ok."

Step 3: The lock must now be removed from the Unloc app. In the Unloc app, go to "Keychain." Then click on "My locks" and select Danalock.

Step 4: Click on your Danalock account (email address), then select "Update connection." After the connection is updated, Danalock will be removed from the Unloc app.

Step 5: After the lock has been removed from both the Danalock and Unloc apps, use the tip of a paperclip to press the button on top of the Danalock 10 times. A red light will indicate that the reset is complete.

How do I replace batteries on Danalock V3?

Accepted Answer

You can check the battery level for the Danalock in the Danalock app. The battery life varies depending on usage but typically lasts for about one year.

It is important to replace all four batteries at the same time. Use only standard CR123 lithium batteries. Failure to replace all batteries at once or using an incorrect type may result in overheating and explosion. Read more about this topic on Danalock here.

Open the battery compartment and pull the two black straps to release the batteries from the module.
Replace all four batteries with new ones, then close the cover.
Recalibrate the lock:

Open the Danalock app. Tap "Menu" and find "Calibration".

Follow the steps as instructed in the Danalock app:

Rotate the lock fully back and forth.
Set the locking position.
Set the unlocking position.
Test the calibration.
