Severity: High

Applies to: Milesight lock connections

We are unable to reach the Milesight module. Users will not be able to open doors controlled by this module until the connection is restored.

Why does this happen?

  • Power loss — The Milesight module has lost power.
  • Internet connectivity — The module is not connected to the internet.
  • Intermittent network issues — The module may have experienced network instability, leaving it in a disconnected state.

How to fix it

  1. Verify that the Milesight device has power.
  2. Check that the device has an active internet connection.
  3. Power cycle the device — this often resolves intermittent network issues.
  4. If the problem persists, contact your installer to inspect the module and installation.

If you're unable to resolve the issue, contact Unloc Support.

What does a Milesight module look like?

A Milesight module is a small device installed near the door that connects to your lock and communicates with Unloc over the internet using mobile data. It receives unlock commands from Unloc and triggers the door to open.
