Teltonika Connection Lost

Warning: Users cannot open doors until connection is restored. A single Teltonika device may control multiple doors. Investigate immediately to restore access.

Severity: High

Applies to: Teltonika lock connections

We are unable to reach the Teltonika device. Users will not be able to open doors controlled by this device until the connection is restored.

What is a Teltonika device?

A Teltonika device (TRB141 or TRB142) is an IoT gateway installed near your doors that communicates with Unloc over the internet. It receives unlock commands from Unloc and triggers doors to open. Using a breakout card, a single Teltonika device often controls several locks — meaning a connection loss may affect multiple doors.

Why does this happen?

  • Power loss — The Teltonika device has lost power.
  • Internet connectivity — The device is not connected to the internet.
  • Intermittent network issues — The device may have experienced network instability, leaving it in a disconnected state.

How to fix it

  1. Verify that the Teltonika device has power.
  2. Check that the device has an active internet connection.
  3. Power cycle the device — this often resolves intermittent network issues.
  4. If the problem persists, contact your installer to inspect the device and installation.

If you're unable to resolve the issue, contact Unloc Support.

Auto-Resolution

This insight resolves automatically when the Teltonika device successfully communicates with Unloc again.

Investigate connection status on the device

We recommend contacting your installer to diagnose and resolve Teltonika issues. However, if you want to investigate yourself, you can check the LED indicators on the device. The following applies to both TRB141 and TRB142.

Warning: Never perform a factory reset on the Teltonika device. This will erase the Unloc configuration and require a reinstallation.
