I can't place a call using Doorbell


If you can't place a call as a visitor, this is usually due to your browser not having the necessary permissions for speech/video. You may have clicked "Don't grant access" when using Unloc Doorbell previously, or something else causing the your phone not allowing the webpage to allow it.



Here is how to fix it in general:

  1. Go to url: doorbell.unloc.app on your phone browser
  2. Go to page menu/settings, and find Website settings. The process can vary between browsers.
  3. Turn on "Allowed" for both Camera and Microphone. This might be at "Ask" or "Deny" today


If this was already on, and it is still not working:

  • Make sure you have mobile data turned on and that you have cellular connection
  • Try restarting your browser app by "swiping it up"

IOS Safari

If you previously denied permission, you must change it manually in Settings — there’s no automatic re-prompt until it’s reset.

Chrome on IOS

If Chrome has access, but the website is still blocked:

  1. Open Chrome and go to the website
  2. Tap the three dots (⋯) menu
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Content Settings
  5. Tap Camera and Microphone
  6. Make sure both are set to Allow


Android


Chrome on Android


  1. Open **Chrome **on the Doorbell website.
  2. Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top right
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Site settings
  5. Tap Camera
    • Make sure it says Allowed
  1. Tap Microphone
    • Make sure it says Allowed


Samsung Internet on Android
  1. Open **Samsung Internet **on the Doorbell website.
  2. Tap the menu (☰) in the bottom right
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Browsing privacy dashboard or Privacy dashboard (name may vary)
  5. Tap Permissions
  6. Tap Camera
    • Make sure it is set to Ask before accessing or Allowed
  1. Tap Microphone
    • Make sure it is set to Ask before accessing or Allowed


If these are set to Blocked, websites cannot request access.


Firefox on Android

  1. Open **Firefox **on the Doorbell website.
  2. Tap the three dots (⋮) menu
  3. Tap Settings
  4. Tap Privacy and security
  5. Tap Site permissions
  6. Tap Camera
    • Set to Ask to allow or Allowed
  1. Tap Microphone
    • Set to Ask to allow or Allowed


If either is set to Blocked, websites will not be able to request access.
