Bad Average Signal Strength for Danalock UM

Lock Insight Event: Bad Average Signal Strength for Danalock Universal Module
Severity: Low

Description

The average signal strength for successful door openings on the lock is below the recommended level. This might cause connectivity issues and failed door openings.

We compute this by averaging the signal strength during the last successful openings of the door, and we make sure there are at least 10 of them before this might happen. If the average signal is really bad, we fire this event.

Why does this happen?

We suspect the Danalock module has been installed in a location with poor signal strength. Maybe it is far away from the door, or inside a metal box that heavily reduces the signal.

How can I fix it?

We advice you to get help from an installer to move the lock to a location with better signal strength. This will improve the user experience by reducing the number of door opening errors.
