How to setup Doorbell in kiosk mode
Unloc Doorbell Setup on iPad (with or without Visitor Registration)
This guide explains how to configure an iPad to run Unloc Doorbell in kiosk mode using the Kiosk Pro Basic app.
- Install Kiosk Pro Basic
- Configure Kiosk Pro Basic.
- Allow camera and microphone access in Ipad settings.
- Enable Guided Access to lock the device to the app
Install Kiosk Pro Basic
- App: Kiosk Pro Basic

Install the app from the App Store before proceeding.
Kiosk Pro Basic Configuration
Admin
- Enable Show Settings (On Touch Gesture & Password)
- Set a secure password.
This prevents unauthorized access to settings.
Content
You should set the Homepage to your Kiosk Url, like this:
How to find the url?
- Scan your Unloc QR code using a phone
- Copy the URL instead of opening it
- Replace
visitwithkioskin the URL - Paste the updated URL into Homepage
Display
Disable everything.
Interaction
- Disable touch input (touch should not be allowed)
Content Refresh
- Idle Time Limit: 200 seconds
- Refresh Homepage: Every 1 hour
Visitor Management
- Allowed Domain:
unloc.app
Advanced Settings
- Allow Text Selection: Disabled
- Reset UIScrollView Offset: Disabled
iPad Settings
App Permissions
Allow camera and microphone access:
Settings → Apps → Kiosk Pro → Enable:
- Camera
- Microphone
Guided Access
Guided Access locks the device to a single app and disables system navigation.
Enable Guided Access
- Open Settings
- Go to Accessibility → Guided Access
- Turn Guided Access on
- Set Display Auto-Lock to Never
Start Guided Access
- Launch Kiosk Pro
- Triple-click the power button
- (Optional) Disable the Sleep/Wake button under Options
- Tap Start
Exit Guided Access
- Triple-click the power button and enter the passcode
If the passcode is forgotten:
- Let the battery drain completely
- Power the device back on
- The iPad will return to the home screen
